If you have questions that I haven’t listed here, no problem. I’d be happy to answer them.
What’s this going to cost me, lady?
Good question. Not to be coy, but this is one I can’t answer right away. What’s the easiest way to find out? Simply fill out my brief questionnaire to request a free quote now. Once I’ve had the opportunity to take into consideration your specific needs and objectives, I’ll shoot you back a customized estimate with a rudimentary project proposal that’ll provide clarity and direction.
Still worried about where my rates fall? Let me provide some reassurance. While I don’t post rates on my website because I prefer to offer accurate quotes tailored to individual project requirements, my goal isn’t to put your wallet on a diet. My fees walk the middle line. I won’t rip you off like some of the big shot copywriters out there and I sincerely take budgets to heart. After all, I feel most satisfied when I’ve managed to find an agreement that keeps us both happy.
That being said, affordability won’t translate into shamefully cheap. If you’re looking for cookie-cutter filler copy, walk on by. I’m not the gal for you. Understandably, cheap copywriting produces cheap results. In order for me to produce my highest quality work and give you a valuable return on your marketing investment, I need to charge you fairly. Sound reasonable? If we’re on the same page, don’t hesitate to contact me and get a free, no-obligation estimate. After all, that part won’t cost you a dime.
What happens after I send you my request for a free quote?
You’ll hear back from me within 24 hours. I’ll pitch you some rudimentary ideas for your writing project and provide an accurate estimate. I charge flat project fees. Why is this good for you? You’ll get to see exactly what you’re paying for upfront. I don’t believe in hidden fees or surprises—you probably get that enough with your cell phone company anyways. After you’ve had the chance to review my feedback, you can book me for your project, ask me further questions or back out if you wish.
How does payment work?
For the majority of projects, you’ll be sent an invoice for 50% of the project fee in order to book your timeslot with me. Think of this as a security deposit that ensures your project will get the attention it deserves and guarantees commitment on both our ends. Upon completion of the finished project, the other 50% of the project fee will be due. For smaller projects under $200, I usually only send one invoice for the entire fee once the project is finished.
To keep the payment process quick, easy and secure for both of us, I prefer to use Paypal. However, I also accept cash or cheque.
If you need the price converted to your local currency, I’ll do that too. Please note that HST applies to the bulk of Canadian provinces.
How long will you take?
If you don’t have a deadline, you’ll get a chance to review the first draft within one to two weeks, depending on the breadth of your writing requirements. From there, it depends on how quickly you’re able to provide feedback and give approval or revisions, or whether I need to work with another contractor (such as a graphic designer).
If you have a specific deadline, I’ll accommodate you without complaint. However, additional fees may apply for rush projects.
I live in the U.S./China/Scotland. How the heck can a Canadian copywriter help me?
I’m a virtual worker. Believe it or not, 100% of my work is completed by phone, fax, email and social media networks, so this is easy as pie. I’ve worked with clients all over the place without a hitch because I know how to make long-distance relationships work. If I can’t manage your project, I promise I’ll tell you. Just get in touch and we’ll talk about your concerns.
I live in your area. Can we meet?
Of course! I love to meet local clients for face-to-face meetings, provided it’s somewhere productive like an office or coffee shop.
What if I don’t like what you come up with?
You’ll probably break my heart and inspire a new hit country single. Kidding aside, this has never come up due to my project planning phase. I work from a detailed project proposal approved by you before I even put pen to paper. Plus, you’re entitled to two rounds of revisions. If you think about it, there’s no reason why our working relationship shouldn’t function efficiently with these parameters in place.
I don’t want new copy, I just want to revise and rework some of my old marketing materials. Can you help me?
Absolutely positively! Prices are generally lower for freshening and livening up old copy, so simply fill out my free questionnaire and we’ll discuss your needs.
